Eguisheim And Alsace Wine
France is arguably, the most visited place in the world. It has a lot to offer to everyone. Whether you are into beaches, nature walks, scenic mountains, ancient castles and monuments, vibrant nightlife, great food and French wine, you will find them all here. France can be a one great adventure. If you love shopping, Paris is no doubt a wonderful place that you will love. It is home to the most fashionable women in the world. This is also a romantic place to spend vacation with your special someone. However, if you are into ancient monuments and houses, consider visiting the Alsace region. If you want to get a feel of the Middle Ages, plan a trip to Eguisheim. There are hotels in and around Eguisheim that suit any budget. Eguisheim is a small town in Colmar where you will find lots of preserved houses of the 15th and 16th century.
We really visited this part of northeastern France because of the pictures we saw on the web of the place. I’ll be honest, I brushed up on my high school level French almost completely only to find that the place was almost completely German speaking. What drew us in were the awfully romantic images of these narrow streets, the architecture of the place, and the things we read about the wine there. When we got there, we’d checked into one of these Eguisheim hotels, which was really quaint and ideal in a wide range of ways. It was ideal in the sense that it was plugged into the oenophile community, which we found useful, because we were, and we found a group that was doing a sort of tour of the more popular places, so we tagged along. It was good because it happens that Eguisheim is smack dab in the middle of what’s called the Alsace Wine Route, it turns out.
